The Fallacy of Success…
Today I want to address the fallacy of success…
This is one of the biggest problems in network marketing today. Period.
This fallacy occurs during the prospecting game.
When most network marketer’s go to contact someone about their opportunity, there are a lot of variables mixed into this experience.
The one that cripples most networkers is this fallacy of success.
This happens when you want to contact someone but you don’t because “they are already successful.”
So instead of contacting the business person who already has success, you opt to contact someone who isn’t very successful in the name of “they need it more.”
There are two things to look at with this mistake.
The first one is this: if someone is already successful in business or sales, then this is exactly who you want on your team.
If they have already proven they have the desire and skills to be successful, then this is who you want to sponsor!
You won’t have to teach them phone skills, or try to motivate them…they have already learned all the good stuff.
Next, what is “success”?
Just because someone makes $100,000 a year doesn’t mean they are successful.
What you have to look at is the price of success.
What is that person paying for that money?
Time, morals, etc.?
Most of the time, the answer is time.
If the guy has to work 80 hours a week to make $100,000 a year, then is that success?
Hardly so?
This guy needs your opportunity more then the broke guy.
And when you see this and this changes your mindset…so that you understand they need you, then your whole prospecting life will change.
I have just scratched the surface on this topic here. As you can tell, this is a very important topic when it comes to network marketing.
