Let’s talk about Mannatech today, mostly known for selling glyconutrients.

Is mannatech a scam? Here is a real review from someone who doesn’t care if you get started in mannatech or not.

This is a supplement selling company.

When looking at any home based business opportunity, you want to consider 2 things.

1. The product or service the company sells
2. The compensation plan

So let’s look at the products sold by mannatech.

Their main product is ambrotose which is a glyconutrient mix. It looks like a powder and you can mix it with just about any fruit juice to drink it.

Glyconutrients are sugars, but they are actually good sugars…yes there is such a thing.

And the pitch from mannatech is that our current diet does not include these “essential sugars.”

I’m not here to argue health facts, that could be completely accurate.

But here’s the thing to consider. This little powder cost a minimum of $100 a month. Who has an extra $100 a month to spend on 1 supplement? Honestly, not many people.

The second problem is this product relies on people’s discipline to take the product every day. Most of us can barely remember to shower and brush our teeth every day. Just kidding, but you get what I’m saying…

Lastly, I’ve actually taken the product consistently for a month before and didn’t notice any change in my body.

Now I am a young, healthy guy so that may have been why.

I’ve also heard reps say you should take this stuff with a certain stimulator, I don’t remember what is was called, but it’s supposed to make the powder work better…well whatever it was, it cost more money.

Here me out here, I’m not saying the powder doesn’t work. I’ve met people who have been “healed” by this stuff or at least prolonged the illness.

Here’s my problem with the way this product is presented by most people.

It’s presented as a cure all powder. So I can eat pizza, drink beer and watch football all day, but as long as I take the powder, then I’ll be okay? I don’t think so.

The reason I had this thought was because when I attended a few meetings with mannatech, the speaker and “authority figure” on health was at least 200 pounds over weight.

Needless to say, he didn’t make a lasting impression on me.

Now to the compensation plan. I know this plan was voted as a top compensation plan in the industry a few years back. And my aunt has made some really good money with this company in the past…I think like 6 digits a year.

But I also know mannatech has taken some financial hits over the past few years.

Here’s my take on the comp plan…after studying it for hours, I realized it’s damn confusing and nobody can explain it very well.

Let’s break down the facts, to make good money you need to sell a boat load of the powder because you only get a small percentage of residual incomes from the ambrotose sells.

Next is what I call the head-hunter fees. This is the money you make for getting someone signed up as a customer with the company.

The head-hunter fees…in a word…blow. And this is why.

Like other companies out there, there are different levels you can “enter” the company at. Basically the higher the level the more money comes out of your pocket.

The highest level for mannatech cost something like $1,000 to join and this is the level you were trying to push as a rep.

Now, I’m no genius but if most people don’t have $100 to spare on powder then where are they going to get $1,000 to buy a bunch of pills. Yep, that’s right you get like a years supply worth of vitamins and stuff.

So basically you’re pitching someone on buying a years worth of supply of something they’ve never even tried…good luck with that one.

And, you as the salesperson, only make $200 per $1,000 sale. In my opinion, this is a little low when prepared to other opportunities out there who pay you more money for a lot lower purchase price. Make sense?

I hope this has helped you. Overall, I believe you can make money with mannatech and I think they are a quality company.

But you’ll never make money in mannatech without the proper skills.

And most likely, your upline doesn’t know how to teach you the proper skills. Want to know how I know that?

If your upline told you to contact your friends and family and pitch them on this wonderful opportunity, then I was right, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Trust me. This rarely leads to anything good and these people usually aren’t business builders. They may be great customers for you, but not business building prospects.

Today I want to address the fallacy of success…

This is one of the biggest problems in network marketing today. Period.

This fallacy occurs during the prospecting game.

When most network marketer’s go to contact someone about their opportunity, there are a lot of variables mixed into this experience.

The one that cripples most networkers is this fallacy of success.

This happens when you want to contact someone but you don’t because “they are already successful.”

So instead of contacting the business person who already has success, you opt to contact someone who isn’t very successful in the name of “they need it more.”

There are two things to look at with this mistake.

The first one is this: if someone is already successful in business or sales, then this is exactly who you want on your team.

If they have already proven they have the desire and skills to be successful, then this is who you want to sponsor!

You won’t have to teach them phone skills, or try to motivate them…they have already learned all the good stuff.

Next, what is “success”?

Just because someone makes $100,000 a year doesn’t mean they are successful.

What you have to look at is the price of success.

What is that person paying for that money?

Time, morals, etc.?

Most of the time, the answer is time.

If the guy has to work 80 hours a week to make $100,000 a year, then is that success?

Hardly so?

This guy needs your opportunity more then the broke guy.

And when you see this and this changes your mindset…so that you understand they need you, then your whole prospecting life will change.

I have just scratched the surface on this topic here. As you can tell, this is a very important topic when it comes to network marketing.

Here is some great network marketing training for the day.

It’s not about the network marketing company…or the products they sell…or the businesses they are “teamed up with.”

What do I mean?

Prospects don’t get sold on all that jazz. I mean, it may sound good and cool, but the bottom line is this:

Prospects are only going to sign-up for one reason and one reason only…and it’s not because the network marketing opportunity is so great…

Nope…it’s because they believe in YOU!

Prospects don’t care about the company, they care about you…their leader. They are counting on you taking them to the top…not the compensation plan.

It’s all about you. It always has been and always will be.

How do I know this?

Simple.

Take any top network marketing in any opportunity and have him/her start building a brand new network marketing business in a completely different opportuntiy.

What’s going to happen?

Simple.

The same thing that happened in the last opportunity. He/she will build a huge business.

Why?

Well it obviously doesn’t have to do with the opportunity, it has to do with the network marketer.

The greatest network marketing opportunity in the world can’t make you rich.

You have to develop the skills of a leader. This will help you create a following. And this following will follow you anywhere you go.

The single best resource I have ever seen to help you develop your skills as a network marketing sponsoring machine is black belt recruiting.

You can access a Free 60 minute training video below that will help propel you to this level of sponsoring master.

Trust me, the stuff revealed to you here will absolutely blow your mind. It did to me too

Are you ready for the biggest marketing secret ever?

Here it is…

No one buys a drill because they want a drill…they buy a drill because they want a hole.

So what exactly does this mean in marketing language?

Simple.

Buyers don’t give a damn about your network marketing company or the products you are selling them…

They don’t care who you company is partnered with or the name of the products…

All they care about is one thing and one thing only…what are they going to get out of being in business with you!

What features and benefits are you going to offer them?

So if you are marketing vitamins, don’t sell the name of the company or the history of the company, sell what the vitamins are going to do for them!

That’s what the people want. They aren’t going to swallow a vitamin every day of their life because it’s made from a crazy, never-heard-of before fruit hidden in the amazon that no other company can get it’s hands on…

No…they are going to take the vitamin for what the vitamin is going to give them…healing powers of some sort.

So when you are talking to prospects about your network marketing opportunity, cut the crap with all the boring stuff and tell your prospect what this opportunity can give them…residual income, time, etc.

This is the biggest lesson in marketing, ignore it, and you will struggle selling anything you try to sell.

Master this philosophy and you will start a frenzy of anxious buyers.

There is a great book out that will help you go much further in detail with this concept, it is an all-time classic marketing book called The Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy. You should be able to pick it up at your local book store.

The information in this book will absolutely blow your mind.

Are network marketing head hunter fees legal and moral? That’s what we’re going to answer here today.

This is network marketing training, but today we are going to work on the training of the mind…which in most cases, is the most important type of training.

First of all, let’s make sure we understand what a head hunter fee is.

Let’s say you join a network marketing company and your upline explains to you that every person you can get to “join underneath you”, then you will make X amount of dollars off of signing them up.

For example purposes, let’s say if you get someone to join under you and it cost your downline $300 to get started, and of that $300, you get $100 in your pocket for signing them up. Now, this can also go down multiple levels, but for sake of simplifying my argument, we will stop there

Okay so Johnny gets in and signs Susie up and Johnny gets $100 for it. Make sense?

Now is this unethical for the network marketing company to do?

Here’s the insane part…some people believe it is!

Now let me argue my point.

Network marketing is a business, just like any other business…most everyone knows who AT&T is so we’ll use them.

Let’s say you started a job with AT&T and your job was to go door-to-door and sell At&t services…

And let’s say for every customer that you got signed-up with At&t’s best bundle package, then At&t gave you a $100 commission check.

This seems reasonable doesn’t it. You did all the work. You met the person, worked hard and persuaded them to sign up with an At&t package…so you deserve something for your effort right?

Who is going to argue with that…no one. This is completely accepted and expected in the business world. In fact, I bet if you weren’t going to get that commission, then you probably wouldn’t be out there selling.

So what is the difference between a head hunter fee and a commission? There is no difference and there is nothing wrong with getting paid to sign people up in a network marketing company because whatever network marketing company you are in is just that…a company.

And a good company awards those who are doing the leg work for them with commissions.

Is FHTM a Scam?

Some people would consider FHTM (AKA Fortune Hi Tech Marketing) a scam and others wouldn’t. Here’s the bottom line. FHTM is about recruiting people, not selling products.

So if you are great at recruiting (there are free videos all over this site that teach exactly how to be a great recruiter), then you can make a lot of money with FHTM.

From what I’ve seen (and keep in mind, I’m not in FHTM), they have one of the most lucrative pay plans in the industry when it comes to recruiting.

One of my friends made $20,000 his first month…no joke. It was pretty crazy.

But on the other hand, if you are looking to make long-term recurring income (residuals) from product sales then this may not be the best choice for you.

Quick cash…yes…long term…not as good. But you can make a lot of money, you just have to continue to recruit. But if you build a big enough team then the residuals will come from your team recruiting people for you every month…not so much from the products.

fhtm scam

But lets be honest, if you’re making $10,000 a month…do you care if the money is coming from “head-hunter” fees or from dish network? Probably not.

So if you want to make a lot of money, you can definitely do it in FHTM…but YOU MUST KNOW how to build a business.

You see, the problem with network marketing businesses is that they are led by people teaching people how to build a business…that have never owned a business. Make sense?

It’s kind of like the blind leading the blind.

And with technology these days, you no longer need to run around bugging every one to “get in your business.” That is old school and only works short-term.

To make a big pile of cash in this industry, you have to learn how to attract endless leads to you…asking to get into your business. Sound good?

How do you do that? Great question.

By the way, if you want to learn more about “head hunter fees”, I’ve written a great post about it, just go to the top of this website and search head hunter fees and it will come up.

This is a great post about the psychology of network marketing and why it’s no different then any other business.

For today’s network marketing tip, we are going to talk about posturing.

This is absolutely a must…no questions, if you want to be successful in network marketing, then you have to learn how to posture prospects.

What is posturing? In a word…confidence.

Have you ever heard of the saying, “The person who cares the less has the most power in a relationship”?

As sad as this may sound, it is true. And it is especially true when it comes to selling….which if you haven’t figured it out yet…selling is exactly what you are doing.

So how does this actually play out. You have to adopt the attitude that you don’t care if the prospect you are selling gets in your network marketing business or not.

And you can’t fake it, because the prospect will read right through you.

So what do you do then? You have to develop a real attitude of confidence. This is what should be going through your mind when speaking to a new prospect…

“I don’t care if you get in or not because I am going to build a big business and be rich whether you do this thing or not!”

When you believe that in your heart, the prospect will notice it and be drawn to you because you are going somewhere.

This is posturing. Without, you will look and sound like a desperate wimp and no one wants to be in business with a desperate wimp.

So starting today, change your mind-set. Stop chasing people and begging them to get in your business. When you do this…over time, people will be chasing you and begging you to sponsor them!
